Ok, so there is a bit of a background to this... I work for a photographer. We were shooting some things for the portfolio... happened to be a Christmas theme (also for our next ad) anyway... I popped in the studio they were shooting in and the food stylist asked if I wanted to decorate some cookies... Sure. I love doing it had not in years. She hands me some blank cookies she had made.. and a selection of Wilton icings.. and I started to play.

So here is the gallery of the cookies I put together....

and here is one variation of the final shot. Smiley

These are the best I have done!! I can't wait for Christmas to make more to give out!!! Cheesy

The recipe is something the stylist had... not sure what it is as they came to me already made from the evening before.

Those are so pretty. I can't believe you hadn't decorated cookies in so long!

How did you do those neat starbursts on the bell?

Decorating cookies is by far my favorite part of christmas. I think I enjoy it more than the baking.

thanks Smiley  for the starbursts.. I put a bigger blob of green, then used the end of a toothpick to star the green out into the white.

I think it helped me that I have been on a major crafty kick lately, so I was inspired and feeling more creative then in a long time.. so I just used techniques from other things I do with decorating these. I am psyched to do more Cheesy
