My stuff looked good in my head. Then sad and silly in the package (swap anxiety strikes again.) Can't wait to see how it looks here!

My package arrived yesterday and it was full of the cutest things you can imagine! I'll try to get my doll to model them tonight and put up some pictures, she looks just so adorable in her new outfits:)

Scotskipper402 is a FANTASTIC swap partner!!!!! I got my goodies yesterday and immediately went through everything oohing and aahing, and showing the little clothes to my boyfriend (who courageously feigned interest). Isobel is definitely thrilled! There were more items than I could even take pictures of in the short amount of time I have before my camera uses up its batteries, so these are Isobel's favorite items, but hardly all of the package!

And now to the photos!!!

 Grin
Melissa I love love love the sweaters and the jeans, and the suitcase made from an altoids tin! How clever! I can't get over the amount of stuff you sent--it's all so cute!! Thank you, and I hope you like what I sent you, I feel like it is not nearly up to par!

And thank you mom2blu for organizing, you did a great job!

The suitcase is wonderful!  Now I know what all of my friends with dolls are going to want... Cheesy

The knitted items are also pretty great...uh, did you use a pattern or did you just make them up...the little bell sleeves on the green and tan top are so cute and the long sweatercoat and hat are so fashionable!

I just love doll stuff!

JadedJenn, yes the suitcase does open! So the next time Isobel travels she can do it in style!

alwaysinmyroom, I know that ScotSkipper402 made up the pattern for the bell-sleeved sweater, and she used this incredibly soft silk-merino yarn *drool*. I don't know about the other sweater though.

Just made up the green/tan sweater and the white halter.

I didn't knit the coat and hat -- they're sewed from a felted shetland sweater. Lapels = bottom ribbing and hat = a cuff. I seamed it "inside out" so the nubby tweed showed. I modifyed a coat pattern from "Sewing for Fashion Dolls"

The Pucci-ish jacket is from the same coat pattern.

They look so cute on the doll! I wasn't sure anything would fit.

Wow that is a very fun package. I have to say that looks like more than 10 points to me. Also looks like some fine craftstermanship!

I received today! No pics yet. I opened the package and everything is wrapped separately so I want to take a pic of that first. So I haven't opened anything yet. I guess my dolly should be part of the party so it'll have to wait until later. Maybe tomorrow...

A very pretty dress (I love the bright, cheerful colors) with a matching headband:

The dress also came with a cute matching hat:

An adorable sailor suit:

Last but not least, a bed! Complete with blanket and pillow:

I figured such a drowsy baby needed a special bed. I wanted to make her a lot more stuff but had to draw the line somewhere. I also wanted to make some PJ's and tights and...

Did you notice the bed has a special surprise?

I still need to upload the pics of the stuff you sent for Chelsea. She loves it all. So do I.

LOL I didn't notice! Good thing you mentioned it! It turns into a bag. Very cool.  Grin  I'll have to post another picture of it "transformed" later.

Here it is as a bag. It's so pretty! I love the ribbon.

Yep! So now she has a safe dust free room of her own. And if she goes on a sleep over she is ready.

I noticed after I had everything done that the sailor dress and hat and the tote bag all have a 50s retro look to them. Not intentional. But I am a child of the 50s and I guess it shows in some of my creations.

What a treasure you have, Jaded_Jenn!  Your doll is amazing!  I love the sailor suit!  It is so nice to dress up old dolls! How old is your doll?  Do you have a thread somewhere on the history of this doll?

I don't think i announced yet that I received! My dolls got some great stuff! I haven't taken pictures because my camera battery was dead, and one item needs the snaps sewn on before I take pictures of her wearing it! (we were both concerned about fit issues and included snaps to sew on ourselves)

Awww that sailor suit is so darling! What a great idea to have outfits made for an old cherished dolly!

And mom2blu, in answer to your question about my Ellowyne Wilde, she takes fantastic pictures. Seriously, she is pretty in person but she lights up in front of a camera! In these pics she is actually leaning against the railing on my balcony. She comes with a stand with a clear base though, here's a pic of her on her stand with the suitcase:

Just as a reminder to everyone (including myself) to post pictures of your received items asap! I try to give really fair honest feedback and try to wait to see pictures before doing so. Then I can give people the credit they deserve.

And is anyone else already ready to do this again? I'm a doll addict and have already gotten new dolls since receiving! lol

Here's my girl. So excited about her packages.

and the contents of those packages...

Guess which one is her fave? I laughed when I saw the Alaskan Moose... How topical is that? And you bought it before Palin was picked! She needed shoes. She only had the pair she came home in. Same with the clothes. And the slippers are great.  And tights. Now she has play clothes too. And a pretty dress. I'm really tired and haven't had a chance to take action shots yet.

thanks so much JadedJenn. Great swap package!

Since ScotSkipper402 has a hard time posting pics, here are the ones I took of the items I made for her Brenda Starr doll before I shipped!

Crochet bikini with matching bag!

A coordinating sarong made from hand-dyed batik!

A pink sundress with vintage lace trim!

A zebra-print suit with matching clutch, a coordinating necklace and some makeup from a Teen Trends set!

Sculpey yellow cake and strawberries, yum!

I would really like to see pics of Brenda wearing this stuff, alas. I hope it all fits and that she likes cake!

Okay all receivers (myself included) I think a lot of people (myself included) are having a hard time finding time to take good action shots, but we really need to post pictures! If you haven't posted already, then please at least post a picture of the item in the boring non-action shot way and then you can always add action shots later! I need to see pictures of packages before leaving feedback. And yes I agree I am 100% guilty here too.

So let's all post at least boring shots this weekend okay?

I still haven't been able to find time for a photo shoot, most of my child-free time is much to dark for photos, but today I was able to take a boring shot of it all layed out.

Anastrophe made me:
A dress for Patience (my Sasha)
a everyday hat and purse for Gene (for going to the races)
A fancy hat for Gene with fancy hatbox
a picnic basket made from clay for Gene, and it has handles that  move!
and a large bag for Patience with a small matching purse for Gene!

So I finally had time to get some photos of the awesome stuff thanate sent last night (thanks again thanate, everyone just loves everything you sent!).  All my dolls are works in progress still, so forgive the occasional nudity and wiglessness. Wink  Also I had a bit of a hard time getting good photos, so I took a zillion including close-ups, and you can see all of them on my Flickr.

Here's the awesome cape and bracelets for Starshine, who wants to be a superhero:

The thread on the cape glows in the dark (Starshine loves glow in the dark!) and so do the bracelets, which are really pony beads.  Awesome idea!

Here are the lovely things for Cordelia, excluding her apron:

There's a loveseat with pillows, a basket, tarot cards, and a hat box containing 3 necklaces and a bracelet.  They're all just her taste and just her size!

And here's Cordelia modeling her apron, admiring her tarot cards and a necklace  (it was a little late to be taking her head off otherwise she'd be wearing the necklace Wink ):

She really loves everything, and so do I!

Now here are Mammon and Faith with their wonderful loot:

They received 2 bean bag chairs (in the perfect colors), a toy box, dice, playing cards, and a space ship.  There was also a hat box and dress (which she's modeling) for Faith, and a map to Hershey Pennsylvania along with a compass and notebook for Mammon.  They got so spoiled!  Mammon can't wait to go adventuring, and they've already played many games with the cards. Wink

And a close up of the compass and notebook, and of the dress with its adorable embroidered heart:

There were also some adorable mini flower pots and a cat calendar! Shown here with Cordelia for size:

And finally copies of the patterns for the dress and apron, along with some coordinating fabric so I can make matching accessories (thank you SO much for these thanate, it was just so thoughtful of you!):

Thanks for everything thanate, we really loved everything you sent!

Maltiriel - that's quite a haul. Interesting dolls you have. I'm not familiar with any of them. Lots of fun stuff for them to play with. Well done thanate.

Maltiriel has been having all kinds of real life stuff going on, and hasn't had enough crafting time to finish her package.  So she sent me a first installment mini-package, which I got today:

Here's everything: three crafted Victorian toys for Waif (little boy), a fuzzy purse and a drawstring bag for Lady, to go with her fashionable 70s style, and some mini board games in tins.

Close-up of the toys... there's a jacob's ladder (awesome!), a thaumatrope (the coin on a string thing-- if you twist it back and forth quickly, it looks like the jockey is riding the rocking horse), and a fantascope (the big disc with the cork on the back-- if you hold it up to a mirror, twirl it, and watch through the slots, the figures look like they're dancing.  I'm sure I must have a doll-sized mirror around somewhere...)  Very cool.  Smiley

Waif is fascinated by the jacob's ladder.

And Lady is pleased that the pouch goes well with the most recent dress I made her.  When she's done admiring it, I suspect she's going to open the chess board and see if she can find anyone to play with her.   Wink

Thanks, Maltiriel!  Smiley

Here's the second installment of Maltiriel's package, that I got today:

It includes this absolutely gorgeous lace knit shawl for Lady (I am terribly impressed-- it's really beautifully done) and a hand-bound miniature edition of Hamlet, which she is delighted to read:

There was also a felted skull, as a prop for a dramatic reading.  Unfortunately, it got carried off by Puck, who apparently thinks he's a god of death.  (In the background, you can see Waif still playing with the jacob's ladder. Wink )

And here's a detail of the Hamlet book; it's hand-bound, and has the entire script in there.  Fantastic!

Thanks for a great package, Maltiriel!  Cheesy
