I'm so flattered!!

It's essentially a typical messenger bag, but I really had fun picking fabrics. It all started with the brocade which I got in a swap this summer from SugarySweet  who used to be Kim's Cosy Kitchen.

Dang! If I'd realized how popular they would be I'd have got more. They did a set in stonewear too- I almost got a mug with a skull on it, clearly I should have. I wonder if my grocery store consolidates stuff like that at a specific location.....

I received!  I don't even have words to say how perfect and lovely and wonderful my gifts from Two Cheese Please are.  I am AMAZED at her crafting ability, and at the way she nailed my taste perfectly!

First up, everything together:



My requested item, a hand carved stamp.  The pictures DO NOT do this justice - I can't believe how intricate the carving is.  I'll be using this to stamp the back of handmade cards and to make little flat cards to tuck in with sewn gifts.  The stamp came in a sweet little drawstring bag (shown underneath it in the picture above).



You absolutely have to see the back to appreciate this...incredible work.



Bonus giftie number one: an adorable spool doll holding hand-stamped linen tape!  I admired this little girl on Two Cheese Please's blog last week; little did I know that she was for me!  I don't even know if I can use this - it just looks too perfect as is.  For now it is sitting on my shelf of my favorite inspirational things.



Bonus giftie number two: a notebook with a super cute cover and pen holder!  This is beyond perfect for me, since I pretty much have a notebook with me all the time.  I actually saw the tutorial for this pen holder recently and thought that I should make one once life slowed down a bit, but now I don't need to!  These pretties won't be coming into the field with me (oh, the horror - they would get so dirty!), but they will be getting a lot of use in the library.

What's the only downside to such wonderful gifts?  Swap anxiety!  Ack!
