Hi everyone  Grin

So I've been making these cute little paper crane ornaments for a Christmas craft fair. I'll be renting a table and selling these, along with some other things. They handmade from Japanese rice paper and glazed for sturdiness and durability. I'm only showing you one because because each crane is the same, except for the pattern of the paper/beads.

In your opinion, what is a good price? What would YOU pay for this little critter to hang on your Xmas tree? From what I've heard, they look great hanging in a window, too!  Smiley

Thanks for your advice!!

I hate to say this, but can you get $2 for a paper crane no matter how attractive or glossed?

What I would do is sell a set; that's the only way to make some decent dough on the deal.

You could search on Etsy and Ebay and see what they are typically selling for.

I'm a Christmas nut, but rarely spend more than $5 on any ornament, no matter how nice. I think that the advice about offering a set was sound, though, because I know lots of people like to "theme" their trees.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not looking to make tons of dough. They're meant to be sold at a Christmas craft fair where I work, to help raise some money for the residents. (I work at a nursing home.) Since many people will be helping make stuff, they aren't mean to be terribly pricey. I was thinking $1.50, to be honest.

Thanks for the help.

So harsh! This woman is selling her ornaments for $10! A piece! That seems to be the going rate, but for a work craft fair, I thought that'd be too much.

There is a ton of history regarding the paper crane. Whole monuments devoted to the meaning of them. Whole cultures regard them as a very powerful symbol.

I do like your set idea. But, like I said, I'm not out to make mass amounts of money. It's for a special cause and this won't be the only thing I'm making. And, none of the earnings are going back into my pocket.

Can you make tiny ones? Paper crane earrings are adorable!
