Anyone experienced with working with animal bone?
I bought some coyote knucklebones and teeth at a flea market, with the holes already drilled in them so they could be strung, but I stupidly forgot to ask if they were coated, or should be coated, in any way. I'm wondering if there's something I should coat them with to make sure they don't get brittle and break. They feel pretty smooth right now, and not porous, so does that mean they're already coated?

Thanks!

Ugh, I would love to know the answer to this as well! I'm buying some bones for a jewelry project and don't know how to treat them. Sad

They will probably be fine as they are, but a little varnishing won't hurt.
