Hello again.

I've done quite a bit now and I'm almost finished the back. I will post some pictures soon.

I will not be able to knit any more tonight though as I only took 3 balls of wool from the shop and have used them all up. I will not be able to collect the rest until tomorrow.

Just out of interest, my local shop puts aside yarn until you need it so you don't have to pay for it all at once - is this a typically British thing?

I think it depends on the shop owner.  Mine here in the U.S. does it too.

Are you almost done?  I'm still working on the back.  Great job.

Finished!! I finished knitting on Friday and did the sewing up yesterday. I like the look of the finished article but the arm holes are very long so could only wear it as a tunic without being indecent. I have checked my dimensions and it is correct. I will get mu hubby to take some photos.

I took some pictures and I don't really like it on - a bit shapeless. It looks great on the hanger though!!

I think I might rip it down and make something else.

You're amazing!!  I'm still plugging away.  I am off on Wednesday, so I hope to have some updated photos posted then.

Don't do it! I think it looks fantastic on you! In fact, you have inspired me to knit one of my own Smiley

I agree.  I love it.  At least, if you don't like it on yourself, I would give it as a gift to someone.  Mine is going to my daughter.

Thanks for your comments. I'm still not sure if it will last, although I have tried it with a chunky belt and that was better giving some shape at the middle. It is getting a stay of execution while I finish a jacket for my nephew.
