wow! your cd book came out sooo well. Its beautiful, much much prettier than anything you could buy. I love your pretty flower! I'd also love to try this one out; thank you so much for the tutorial! Does it stay closed easily when its full of cds? I suppose one could add a ribbon tie for a closure on the felt if one wanted. I'm thinking you may already have had some of the materials around, but about how much do you think this would cost to make?
This is another perfect gift idea! Thanks thanks thanks for sharing!

Yes, I did have all of the materials lying around, but it'd be really cheap to buy them.

Felt is around $.20 per square, and one square could probably make 2-3 cases.

The fabric was a very very small amount, much less than 1/8 of a yard.

I can't remember how much the vinyl tablecloth material costs, but I think it MAY be around $2.50 a yard (I know it's $3.00 or less), and even at that you really don't use too much.

The batting I had leftover from a quilt I made, but it's not very expensive either, if you just buy the cheapest and smallest package they sell.

And surely you have fabric scraps, sequins, thread, and glue lying around!

So, while you may need to shell out $5+ to get you started, it's really not that bad because you can use the materials to make SEVERAL cd books, or use them later on other projects.

thank you so much for the pricing! I think I'll need to buy the batting and the tablecloth vinyl. And apparently, I'm buying my felt at the wrooong place, if I'm paying a dollar per...
Thanks!

Wow, I really like that! I need to make one of those. I can never find one big enough that's not too expensive... and forget about looking cute, lol.
