yup its a Gary Coleman cord skirt Grin  I found the shirt with him and his classic saying at value village and have had it for some time trying to figure out what it wanted to be.  I just got a bunch of cord for fall and it came to me...he wanted to be on a skirt.  I made a very basic elastic waist skirt and appliqued his face to the butt and his saying to the front. I made the ruffles from the remainder of the shirt and found some matchy buttons.
here it is.....

it looks way better on but my model is on strike.... Wink
comments and critiques please Grin
thanks for looking

That's really funny!  Bet it would blow Gary Coleman's mind that he was the inspiration behind a toddler skirt!

I really like the double lettuce edge attachment of your ruffle.

... If he wasn't so busy running people over!

Dez-igns, that's a gorgeous skirt, and makes me wish I was (much, much) younger and could get away with wearing it. Oh well, maybe I'll have to procreate and live vicariously through my offspring!

Crochet uses a hook. Pirates have hooks, and they are cool. So crochet is cool because of the hook.

That is freakin HILARIOUS!!  And too cute!  I love the lettuce edge bottom too!  Gives the skirt the girliest touch!

I love the design of the skirt.  Using the shirt for those pieces to applique was a great idea - very cute!

I love the skirt, it has great style... buttons: yay!  But the g.c. puts it over the edge.  Completely fabulous!
