Hi everyone, here is my new etsy store finally opened.....

http://www.etsy.com/shop/OnTheFrontLine

I would really appreciate it if you could take a quick click and have a look - any info or advice would be great. Mostly im wondering about what my shop looks like to you at first glance? How do my photos look? Is different backgrounds ok? should i be shooting my items on people?? Do i need to be more creative in my item descriptions?

Thanks for your insights and hope you enjoy perusing my shop.  Smiley

I just started my first etsy shop and I'm nervous to put myself out there. I'd appreciate some advice from fellow craftsters on how to improve my shop/items:)

I'm disabled & I cant spend a lot of time online, so I'm also looking for how to promote my shop effectively without spending hours online, any tips?

I read the first post in this topic, I know I'm missing a banner but I'm working on it.
Thank you for your time! I truly appreciate it.

Very cute items! I think your shop looks nice and professional. I did notice that on my screen your banner looks very dark, especially in contrast to the colors of your items, and kind of pixelated. Personally I'm more drawn to clothing that is pictured on people over mannequins. And in the pictures of the bottlecap items there seems to be a glare that is distracting from the item, like this listing:

Otherwise I think it looks like a cute shop:) Good luck with it!

Hi everyone,

I opened my store a while back but didn't have anything on there until March of this year. I've been getting sales here and there and would like to have someone critique it to see what I could change to get better sales/views. Thanks

Not to be rude, but the first thing I saw when I opened your page was lots of copyright infringements. Do you have a license to copy Disney products?

There's NOTHING at a craft show, or on Etsy, anybody NEEDS. NOTHING.

Hi Everyone,

I am the "new girl"..lol Well I have been in business since 2010 and always did mostly local stuff. Rare would I get an order off Facebook that was outside the city limits. Well my husband and I decided to bring all our stuff online. Open an Etsy shop and eBay. Now I am not too knowledgeable with websites and all but we have been doing this for both eBay and Etsy for just little over a month now. It's been great!

Anyways, here is my Etsy store

https://www.etsy.com/shop/PolkaDotzDiva

Now my husband has been a web designer (mostly just hobby) and he is the one that does the critiques. But I thought I come on here and maybe get some advice and may give him a pointer or two Smiley

Now I read the sticky topic about the top things to have a successful Etsy shop. Well I believe I am hitting on all those except for the shipping outside the US. I wanted to get a little more experience under my belt before I went global. But please point out anything you think I need to adjust. My husband updated my November banner last night Smiley

I like your store but I do have couple of comments -
Please fill in your profile, at least a little bit. I have never met you and however much i like your product, I need to have confidence that you are 1. real and 2. honest. Reading a profile would help as then I could feel like I know you a little bit.
Photos. Your pics are fine, but there are not enough. Mostly you have only one picture and while it is a good clear close up it is not enough. For instance, your big sis-lil sis design looks like a pillow, all folded into a square as it is. Show a t-shirt and onesie pic that lets me see what they are and the proportion of the embroidery to the garment. Your tax deduction design does not even look real. I can't tell if it's on a garment or not.
You got it right with the clutch. I really felt I knew what I was getting.  Grin
I'm happy to see you have already made some sales. Can you ask your customers, if theyr are happy, to leave a positive review. That is always an encouraging thing for new customers to see.
Please don't feel I am being unkind. Your designs are cute and look well done. I wish you more and more success in the future. I hope some of my comments make sense to you.
