technicolor- i notice your pictures have  a yellowish hue.
you might want to check your camera's manual about setting "white balance"

When i do my pix indoors i set the white balance to "tungsten".

i suggest check your manual on how to set it then play around with it. to see which setting gives you the best look.

Thanks sullengal!   Cheesy

The first 2 sushi sets I listed have HORRIBLE photos, I will re-take if they don't sell at my final 2 holiday shows this weekend.  I would love to get rid of them though!   Wink

I am terribly jealous. I've always wanted to sculpt with actual clay, but the cost of kilns and the baking accoutrement has always scared me away. So polymer clay it is!

Your stuff is really great though.

Are the prices comfortable for you? I always worry that people undercut their prices on etsy. Having no idea of the effort and resources these fire-kilned clay items require, I'm not sure.

Just a thought.

Polymer clay is something I would also love to do, but I don't know if I have the patience for the teeny tiny details.  Wink   Kilns, glazes, etc. do add up, so I am very fortunate to have found a local studio that is reasonably priced right in my neighborhood.  My prices are definitely on the low end, I would charge more but then I don't think I would get the sales.  My shop has been open less than a year, I was hoping to make 52 online sales this year, right now I am at 47, so I am pretty happy with year 1.    Cheesy

Wow!!!! 47?? I've been open a year and have had one sale. I think I need variety.

And more usable items maybe? I dunno.

I thought maybe the OOAK figurines might sell, but they haven't been touched.

Maybe I need more marketing research.

Variety is always good.  Etsy is like a full time job.  You have to list new stuff regularly, spend LOTS of time in the forums, promote yourself all over the place.  Maybe try a few alchemy requests, that will help get your name out there.  When I figure out the secret I will let you know!   Smiley

Heh thanks!

I've been promoting on the forums pretty spastically the last two days. It's just so hard since threads can get buried or add hundreds of posts in minutes.

It's easy to get overwhelmed.

Thank you so much! That issue has been the bane of my exitstence, and I had no idea how to fix it. I will definately take that information and see what I can do.
