Both these projects are awesome.  I'm looking to build some shelves in a nook above my fireplace and would love to hear how he made those if at all possible.  Great job!

I am so drooling over that desk!  I work off of a broken folding card table that is held up by plastic drawers from wal*mart!

Oh wow!  Your desk (and the bookshelves) look amazing and so useful!

I have been drooling over that PB desk for a long time, it just looks so awesome and handy - I am sad to hear it is a piece of junk, but also very excited at the thought of a homemade version!  Lucky, lucky and great job!

Very nice!  I agree with everyone's posts, the desk rocks.  The shelves also look really nice, like a professional custom installation.  Kudos for nice DIY projects, AND saving yourself a bunch of money for pre-built stuff!

Um, that is pretty much the sweetest desk known to craftster-kind. I love it, and the bookshelf is basically my dream bookshelf (I read way too much, and as a result my floor is stacked with books)

That desk is wonderful, just perfect for crafting. And those shelves look so classy, like they came with the place, and they're adjustable even! I can't decide which I like better. Both items look so professional--your husband has lots of talent.

That is sooo awesome and I'll bet building both cost less than the original PB desk!

Nice.  Do you like the height?  If I ever get a different work surface, I'd like one to stand at.
