This is such a simple question but it's driving me nuts. I'm trying to make eyelids for a sock cat, does anyone have any suggestions? They always seem to slip off of the eye as I try to fasten it and won't stay still. I don't know if it's the material, or me. It's probably me, now that I think of it...

When we make poppets we glue them on. I typically like E-6000 since it's washable, industrial strength, and doesn't dry right away. (thus no risk of me gluing the fabric to me.)
Just cut to size and glue. For the knit sock fabric though you might want to hem the edge that goes straight across the eye or even try pressing it turned under before gluing to prevent fraying.
