I have this friend who's turning nineteen in maybe 20 days. He's a potter, and ceramics are about the only thing he does. He also likes coffee and clove cigarettes to the point of ridiculousness--in essence, he's your stereotypical art student.
I was thinking about throwing him a mug for his Mate, but he's about a thousand times better than i am.
Maybe something for his tools? Or his cigarettes?
What do you make for a guy who crafts too?

what about a subscription to ReadyMade magazine? it's great for crafty people!

or how about a personalized kit to make something. my man candy makes stuff and is crafty in a practical way, so i sent him a clock making kit with different numbers, etc so he could make an airplane wheel (he's a pilot) into a clock. he has sent me things like this too... i found this coconut on the beach that i thought looked like a whale, so he sent me googly eyes, e600 adhesive, a top hat, doll glasses & shoes and foam to make flippers.

you could get him rolling papers and flavored tobacco to roll his own cigarettes.

or a coffee grinder (pretty cheap for a small one, like 20 bucks) so he can grind his own coffee with different types of beans.

good luck!

The best part is making stuff, so I was thinking about doing a personalized cigarette case or something? Thanks for the suggestions!
