I can't wait to start either! I keep wanting to start making something, but then I'm like "Oh wait, I don't know who it's for yet!" and so I wait.

Hey Fiber People: I am very interested in personal swaps for painted/dyed roving or top. I can swap supplies or crafted items. Let's talk!

Every body wants a rock to wind a piece of string around.

The clearance rack at Borders will be your friend if you're on a budget. At least at my local borders, they usually have a ton of cookbooks and a lot of them are really good for under $10. Most of the cookbooks I have bought for myself have come from that rack. I even got a Swedish cook book with a lot of authentic recipes (My hubby is half swedish and he showed his mom the book and she could pick out dishes she's had before from it so i'd say it's a winner).

Other advice, check out http://half.ebay.com and amazon.com for buying books. Grin

Dear Craftster Friends,
Three years ago, I was much younger and dumber and I flaked on a few swaps. I am back and I promise to make it up to everyone I hurt. I had been flaked on a couple of times, and I know how cra**y it feels. I am really sorry.

Who would have thought that I'd find a swap that combines both my love of french curves and cooking? Kind of thrilled.

I noticed when I checked your profile that you havent joined a swap since my T-Shirt swap last year! I feel honored that you like my crazy swaps and hopefully this one turns out better than the last. Grin

Actually, I did the Art Nouveau swap back in January; but still it's been a while. I actually wasn't all that disappointed in the outcome of the t-shirt swap; the exercise was enough for me...I just wish I had pictures. The whole swap thing is really more about getting me excited creatively than it is about getting anything in return. When you work in a creative field sometimes you need something to get you to step outside of your comfort zone and reconfigure your brain artistically. This swap should be a really good outlet for me to try new things and get excited about the creative process again.
