I was planning on making my own earrings with buttons and post backs. What's the best glue to use for these, and for making brooches with pin backs? I was thinking hot glue, is this better than epoxy?

I would use epoxy just so there is no chance of temperatures ever causing the glue to soften or to get brittle. But then again, I love e6000, so I might be biased.

Hot glue really doesn't work for nonporous surfaces. I'd recommend E6000 because, though there is a smell, you don't have to mix it like epoxy.
