So I love the BBC version of Robin Hood. The UK gets the series way before we do in the USA. Well, I just finished watching the last episode not too long ago. In the last episode, Marian is killed! I couldn't believe it. I felt like I lost someone I knew! (I am a huge dork like that! I felt equally sad when Mark Greene from E.R. died) How can Robin not have his Marian??? So I decided, what better to pay tribute to their love than to make a handkerchief to catch all the tears! (I know I know, I'm pathetic) So here it is. The original pic is on my blog. Be kind I can only do so much with thread and needle! Oh and I'll probably put a border on it and a quote. I just can't seem to decide what to put on it yet. Probably something from their final scene together. So to the few people who feel the way I do, I hope you like it! LOL

OH! I know your sadness - some of the book versions have her die at the end too, and it was just the most terrible thing!  But your stitching looks beautiful, I love the pose and the way you did their hair (and his facial hair!)  Really nice project!

Thanks! I didn't know some of the book versions kill her too. Guy of Guisborne killed her! The actor (Richard Armitage) said he couldn't sleep for a week before the last scene. It's just soooo sad! They were a good pair (the two actors) They played Robin and Marian well.

Valentine: You're hurt. Wait here.
Helena: What about you?
Valentine: Oh, I'm a panther. I shall slip unnoticed through the darkness... like a dark, unnoticeable slippy thing.

Wow, you did a good job on this. It actually looks a bit like the actors. Putting it on a hanky is funny. What a great idea.  Smiley

Thanks for the nice words!

I'm glad everyone likes the facial hair. I obsessed over how best to do it. And I'm glad they're recognizable.
