So, I'm not really a painter, I'm more of a sewer, and yet my first post shoowing off any kind of thing I made is painting.
I painted with totally normal watercolors on a canvas I got at the 1-store, it's rather small (in some pictures you can see my hand for size reference). I made it for my dad, because ha said, he didn't want a present and so I said (as a joke at the time) that I'd paint him a picture as I used to do when I was still about 5 years old. Since I'm a bit too old now to make him a picture of stick people next to a not so much treelike tree, I made him something a bot more complicated.
So without further ado:

I also painted the sides of the canvas:




I hope the photos work and it's okay to post the images and not only links....tell me of I did that wrong and I'll change it.

thats so cool! I used to do line drawings similar to that for my kids to color in when they were little and said they were sick of their commercial coloring books. I am inspired to try doing some again! HHMMMM atc possibilities! Thanks for the inspiration! Oh yeah, how did your Dad like it?
