I made this for the dresden dolls/punk cabaret swap round 2, but I was so pleased with it i thought id give it a post all its own. Its basically a vinyl record folded in half with a satin interior (which is basically just a sewn semi circle).

Anyways, as always any and all feedback/comments appreciated!

That is a pretty cute idea. You should post pictures of the inside part. I love all the reconstructed new ideas for old things stuff.

How did you attach the fabric to the record if you don't mind me asking?

I used epoxy resin glue and then stuffed the bag with newspaper to make sure it attached to the sides.

Hey thanks! I had this cool idea for wall hangings made out of vinyls for my son's little toys and gadgets, so this might help.

no problem, the main tip i would say is if you're gonna use epoxy then make sure you have it held in place until its completely dry Smiley

How did you bend it? I mean, like what did you put it in to get that shape?

Thanks,  Grin

i assume she heated it in an oven or something

when you cook records in the oven they get all bendy and  umm mallable? they dont heat up too much either so you can usually touch them with your bare hands..... well, maybe they heat up or melt if the ovens way too hot but first they get all bendy and nice.
