Hello there!  Grin

My Mom brought home a ugly thing that was probably supposed to be one of those folky wooden calenders from the thrift store. (No offense to folky calendars. lol) Anyways, she is also a clerk at a mosaic/tile company, they make very expensive products so their waste is HUGE, they don't use anything with even a TINY imperfection (I know well cause I worked there for two summers doing glass/kiln checking). She brought home a few boxes a year or two ago.

I used a fleur-de-lis not because I have any particular obsession for quebec or france, but just because I like it, lol. I suppose the theme my mum is going for is 'french country' really losely though. haha.

I didn't take any before, but it was pretty basic, wooden and all scrated, and lots of glass mosaic tile rejects.

...and up comes the toolbar. that's what she said.

Ah awesome. Thanks for saying it was a fleur de lis I didn't get that at first =P
But that's cool, and Jess, tell your mom to bring home some reject tiles for me! That would be cool  Grin

Great way to "upcycle" . . . and I must admit I'm envious that you get "reject" mosaic tiles. Crafter's heaven, lol.

I love this idea! I just got into mosaic with glass pieces, so I'm really tempted to do something like this!

I'm Back! Woo-hoo!
