Finished spinning the roving I received from Penquino in the STS 17 (funky D, E & F)  404 yards:

Also spun up more Tunis for mittens.  Just a plain white yarn - no excitement there.

Let's see what you've done this week!

Hey all...I have been MIA for awhile. I find I spin fiendishly, then knit like a maniac.

I only have one to share this week.

Grassy Knoll - spun from batts I carded. It's Romney in shades of green, orangy yellow, white, and firestar. I think that I'm going to knit these up into some socks. Do you craftsters knit socks with singles or plied? I figure I should ply it so it's stronger...

And here is a FO.

fingerless gloves - The yarn is merino/tencil blend with pink stripes of corridale and gobs of sparkle.

I'm back in action, baby! This week's skeins are wool blends, with hemp, recycled sari silk, angelina, metallic, and mohair locks. I'm keeping this first one for myself.

I did it again. I worked on 3 spinning projects, wondered for about two weeks why nothing was done, then was done with two skeins at once.  Roll Eyes

The Twilight fever has NOT let go.

Twilight: 250 yards. Wool, Tencel, sari silk.
New Moon: 263 yrds. Wool, Tencel, Blue jean sheds.

Eclipse and Breaking Dawn are next. Oh breaking dawn, I could make yarn about you ALL DAY. (I LOVED breaking dawn.)

I dyed and spun these the other day.  I just plied them, and I really hate the result so I'm not going to post a picture :-(

It depends on the fiber I'm using.  Merino ALWAYS gets plied, with Dorset or Dorset blends, I'll knit socks with a single ply.

Oh please do post a pic of it!!!!!  I love the colors there and would love to see it plied!

some of the yarns I don't like, others have loved.  We're our own worst crictics.

Lamina, those are BEAUTIFUL pictures! Yarn and books, two of my favorite things!

I shouldn't be on here, I should be packing for Sheep & Wool fest, but I've neglected FF for far too long.  Here are just a couple of the skeins I've finished recently.  I'm getting really bad at photographing stuff- I blame the shorter days & lack of natural light Sad

"Dead But Dreaming", spun from my new R'lyeh colorway, this one in Falkland wool:

"Echinacea", a bulky fluffy slightly fulled Falkland single:

I promise to post more next week!

I haven't touched my spinning wheel in about 6 months, so I am now just getting back into the groove. All I have is merino...TONS of merino and honestly... I don't really enjoy spinning it...but, I am really trying to do a nice two ply. I want my plied yarns to look like Cloudlover's and MissHawklet's... that would be amazing Cheesy Love all the stuff up so far! On the bobbin: Merino.. calling it Cheshire Cat.
