With enough caffiene, I could rule the world.

I was recently researching ancient games for an article I was writing, and discovered the game of Merels, also called Nine Mans Morris, or a myriad of other names! So, I decided to make a board game for it. I used the good wood from the drawers of a destroyed antique dresser that was on the side of the road (ok, I admit to scavenging... ). My husband cut the square for me (I'm afraid of power tools, with exception to drills and sanders), about 7" x 7", and after sanding, I wood burned the design. A quick coat of varnish and we were done!

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.

That is an amazing idea - and I am so going to have to give that a go for my oldest son.  I think he would get a huuuuuge kick out of that - your lines are fantastic too by the way - it is just awesome all around!
scrambles to go look up the rules on this game....found the rules but think I will need to be a bit more awake to comprehend them...
I am just fascinated by this now...

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!
