Santa Cruz has this great new space called the Crafter's Studio that offers workshops in sewing, knitting, ceramics, jewelry, you name it! I took my first class last week, to make a handbag.  The workshop was fantastic, but I was a bit sad that we didn't finish our projects in the first class and that I have to go back this week to get it finished. Rather than trying to finish the project on my own (there were zippers and other tricky things I'm a bit intimidated by) I decided to make another one this weekend. I partially used an Amy Butler pattern but changed the handles and added a magnetic clasp and some partitioned pockets on the inside. The fabric is by Echino and I'm totally in love with it!

Your feedback is welcome!

Adorable - I really like the fabric, and it seems roomy Smiley

Nice job with the alterations to the pattern!

Pretty bag.  I love the leopards, especially the one on the inside.  They look great with the polka dots.
