I have long hair and always seem to lose my hairbrush… they’ve fallen out of my purse in friend’s cars’, at stores, and in people’s houses (right now I have three lost at my boyfriend’s grandparent’s house), so I decided I should make a hair brush cozy with a string so that I could tie it to my chair so I’d always know where at least one was.  I made it, but realized it wasn’t very ironic..

That’s when it hit me… (which is actually another reason I had for making a hairbrush cozy… sometimes when I brush my hair it goes flying out of my hand and I’ve hit my poor boyfriend and my cat in the head with them several times, and I thought a cozy would provide better grip)  But anyway, it hit me that I should make a hairy hairbrush cozy.

I’d never seen one before, so I decided to search the web to see if I could find one (*note- Do NOT Google Image search ‘hairy hairbrush’ if you don’t have any filters on  Shocked).  I couldn’t find one, so I made one using some eyelash yarn I bought at Dollar Tree a while back.

Now I have a lovely ironic hairy hairbrush that won’t fly out of my hands, and I hopefully won’t lose.

In progress shot-

Finished shots-

My cat, Birdy, really likes it too.

Thanks for looking!!!

Anyone else notice the irony of her cat named Birdy? hehe

Very cute, I could use one of these myself, I'm always misplacing my brushes! Cute yarn too

OK, I know you warned us AGAINST searching google images without a filter, but I had to do so anyway...

Should have taken your advice.  Sad

This is a really cute idea!  Very funny and well-executed.  Smiley
