i so want to find this pattern and try to make this

I found it in a book called Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lincott (I think that is their last name).  You can find it on Amazon.  I've heard it called a Pineapple Braid also.  It was pretty easy.  The cutting was the worst part.  Piecing it together was fun.

This is stunning, okittycat. 
Like a lot of quilt patterns, this one goes by several names.  Some call it Pioneer Braid, and I've also heard Grandma's Braid.  Quiltville   has a good how-to.  She presents it as a border, but you just make more of them for an entire top.
