My roomate is taking Cell Bio this semester, which at the university she goes to is only taught by one person.  It is the class with the highest drop out rate.  She and I decided to put a dry erase board up in the kitchen to help with drawing pictures and general studying.  Since I have taken cell bio before and well, have a degree in biochem, this way I could help her study.  She went an bought a bunch of markers for it but alas, there was no place to put them when not in use.

So one night last week when she went to work, I got busy.  Making a cozy.
hanging on the wall, next to the board.  It was made with some left over sugar skull fabric so it matches the rest of the kitchen

up close and personal with the many colors of the marker rainbow

now for the doom.  The cozy is also rigged so it can be worn

Rambo Style.  For all those nights of Cell Bio %&* kicking action

that's pretty cool!  Dry erase boards are AWESOME, I don't think I would have made it through college half as well if I didn't have mine.

Ooooh, can you make me one that fits the little 'cans' of mini M&Ms?  Then I can have all my felting needles in their holders, and all the holders with me so when I break a needle I have more "ammo" ready!

This is AWESOME!!!

Sweet! You should walk around the campus one day wearing that. See how many weird looks you get. Cheesy

I have a tendency to write copious notes on windows with dry-erase markers when doing biology homework... this would be an even better way to both take notes and leave the windows more colorful and informative in my house Cheesy wonderful cozy, and a great idea.

Bandolier! That's what it is called.  I just kept refering to it as my utility belt feature.  Thanks for all the comments!

Dude!  Why didn't we have one of these when we lived together?  I like your kitchen wall color too.  This rocks.

I'm not sure why we didn't have one, it would have been handy.  Thanks for the wall compliment, the color is called tiger stripe
