Did you actually call PayPal? I went through something similar about 6 months ago.. and after 3 months of hell trying to deal with everything via e-mail and getting my claim denied repeatedly, and loosing MORE money, I called them. The customer service rep was very nice and listened as I explained the entire situation. Then she refunded my money - all of it!

If you haven't tried it yet, please try calling them. Sometimes I think the people handling the online claims just deny every claim as a matter of routine.

Thank you, I might try that.

Oh and this is the only reply I got from Etsy:

Dear Michelle,

many thanks for the update. Have you received information about your new
shipment?

Thanks,
Emily

Which I haven't...I'll be surprised if he doesn't do a runner or something.

This is really a stinky situation and am curious as to see how this turns out. But it has shown me not to purchase anything I haven't seen a picture of previously..thats for sure!

This is awful.  I'm so sorry about this whole ordeal!  I can't believe none of those people are willing to help you out.

I sent the other bag back on Saturday and he still hasn't sent Etsy proof of his shipping the bag. Eff this, I'm calling Paypal today.

edit: I called Paypal, the guy on the other end was SUPER nice, finally some good customer service! But said that unless it's off eBay they can't do anything about "not as described" (which I already knew and understand) and that he thought it was too early to file "not received". He sent the a**hat a courtesy email saying that I've done my part and he needs to do his, and told me that if I haven't heard anything in 3-4 days (which is still within the 45 day period, I checked) I can call back and they'll see what they can do about a refund.

I just PM'ed you about this, but couldn't get the pics into the message, so here they are. What do you think? Would you like me to send this to you? Will it make you feel a bit better about your etsy mess?
