This my third complete cross-stitch. I have started with really small projects in order to gain some confidence. This was a kids "learn to craft" project. I thought it was cute, so I did it myself.  Smiley

Being a project for a kid, it was really simple. I didn't like how a lot of the line work went either, but I went ahead and just followed the pattern. It looks a little messy to me, but I still think it's cute.

Enjoy.

I think it is very cute. I love the pink ears. Good job!  Smiley

My first cross stitch was a small kit also.

Cute kitty, lovely work.

I recently stitched that very same kit myself.  I find it's nice to take an occasional break from the ginormous works I usually have in progress, and do something that only takes an hour or two.

Thanks for all your kind words. As I look through this board I see all kinds of amazing work being done-I just hope that I can get better at this so I can make some of those amazing projects too. For now, I'm happy to start small and get the hang of things. Smiley

That's really a good idea. You get some successes and it gives you confidence to take on the next thing and the next. I thought I'd never be able to do cross stitch because of all the counting but I tried it and I'm glad I did. There are some great designs out there.

This is a really cute one and you did a great job on it. If you're just starting you might look for some of the British cross stitch mags, "Cross Stitch Crazy", "Cross Stitcher", etc. They often have designs with no fractional or special stitiches. Very easy to do.

Cute! My first try at cross stitching was one of those kids patterns too!
