I finally re-upholstered this chair that I got many years ago at an antique warehouse --- when I first got it, it had a fuzzy jersey cow-print on it and I eventually covered it with this mustard/gold brocade.  But I knew it needed a facelift as soon as I saw this Echino damask fabric by Etsuko Furuya:

I love how from a distance it looks like your run-of-the-mill damask print but if you look closely, there are a lot of different animals and insects worked into the pattern.

ooooh. I like it. The black and white fabric is gorgeous and it really made this chair pop. Awesome job.

Thanks!  It's going in our bedroom (the walls are painted dark red) where there are black and white accents (ie. black curtains, black picture frames, white furniture and white trim/doors/baseboard) so it suits the space quite well.
