Yesterday I suddenly wanted to make a kitty, maybe because I found a ball of grey wool, when for the past month I've only had bright pink? Well. I looked around for a pattern that seemed easy enough for me and found this

...
And created this!

I think I used a too big hook. I might try again tomorrow with a smaller one.
Also I might have missed a few stitches, because I was watching Whose Line Is It Anyway US and it was really funny and I kept getting distracted...
She's pretty cute I think. In a squished-up-face kinda way...

Oh well Smiley
I still haven't thought of a name though. I'm awful at names.

Really cute!  How big is she?  I think you should name her "squishy" because of the squished face (which is my favorite part.)  Good Job!

Knitting goal for 2011: knit 500,000 stitches.  24,078/500,000 knit.  I think I'm going to need more yarn...

She's about three inches high.
And it's funny you should suggest Squishy as a name, because that's what my bf's silly name for me is haha. Maybe Squishy Jr. Cheesy

You may have used a hook too big. most crocheted toys ask you use regualr yarn (#4 if your label is around) and a g-f hook depending on the pattern writers preference.
The other thing to keep in mind is crochet stretches so it's ok to crochet tighter. Also don't stuff as much as you think you need and if you are worried about stretching you can put the stuffing in a nylon the same color as your yarn to hide it. Smiley
But honestly  Your kitty is cute and it just looks like the stitches stretched a bit to me. not a big deal at all. Smiley Very nice work!

That's absolutely adorable.

The squish factor definitely adds some cuteness, too.
