We've blasphemed the hardware store and the dollar store (twice). Now it's time to take it to the supermarket.

Your challenge is to spend no more than $15 at a supermarket and to make something that is functional or wearable and totally awesome and unexpected out of what you buy.

-- You must buy all your materials at the same supermarket on the same day in the same trip. The store you buy from should be as close to a straight-up supermarket as possible. I.e. not a big department store that happens to have a supermarket section unless you stick to just the supermarket section.

-- At least one of the items in your project must be edible although it doesn't have to be a perishable item.

-- You can use whatever extra craft materials (fabric, glue, paint, etc) you want but the focal point of the project should be what you buy at the supermarket.

-- If you're not in the U.S., you can use this currency converter to see what $15 is in your own currency.

Rules:

Post your craft during the period of Oct 1 - Oct 5 2008. No sooner. No later. On Oct 1 there will be a special folder created for entries.
Voting will happen from Oct 6 - Oct 12 2008.
Each participant can enter ONE project. (Although your entry can have multiple components to it.)

Originality:

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original and has never been posted on Craftster or made by anyone else in the past. But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, then just give credit to that project.

Prizes:

At the end, I'll set up a poll right here and the first place winner will get...

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog
