Hello all, I'm a crafty girl moving to RI very soon from Chicago.
Any nice places a girl can live, close to crafty places or just nice little shops and restaurants?

Rhode Island is rather lacking in a craft scene, from my own personal experience, especially anywhere outside Providence.
As far as restaurants? Check out Tealuxe and Teo Matteo's.

Providence has a big craft scene, just more of an underground/not-so-in-your-face way, which is great.
I recommend living on the east side of providence close to brown university or maybe by wickenden street! there are lots of great places on wickenden and also, if you like Japanese food, the best Japanese restaurant is Haruki East in my opinion!
We have craftland every december, also google as220!

Wickford is a cute and quaint town. It has cute shopping area on the water. East Greenwich is another nice town. If you're looking for an artsy area, the east side of Providence is the best place. Wickenden Street is ideal. There are sooo many great restaurants. The West Deck (in Newport) is my favorite. A little pricey but worth it.
