Smiley  Cheesy  Grin This swap gallery is intended as a way to recognize all the wonderful personal swaps that are done in this community!   Grin  Cheesy  Smiley

Personal swaps are not encouraged or supported by Craftster.  This is only a thread to post pictures from your personal experiences.  Personal swaps are not and cannot be tracked in Swap Feedback on profiles and should not be linked to Craftster's Organized Swaps in any way.

Folks who have participated in a personal swap and wish to share pictures of the items they have sent and received may do so by posting in this gallery.

Please note that this gallery is meant for those who have had a good experience with their personal swaps!  This is not the place to air your grievances about being "flaked" on...please keep it positive and give love to those awesome personal swappers! Wink

Each month a new gallery will be started.  If you have received from a personal/private swap, within the month, feel free to post pictures here!   Grin

Or browse previous galleries...

I was going to wait until the September gallery was up, but I don't want to wait any longer!  I did a swap with Atsuko a while ago, and I already posted the pic of the awesome shirt she made my hubby, and here's the rest!

Screen printed bird pillows (these are so fab!):

And she also sent my kiddo a folder and some notebooks!  He loves writing in notebooks, so he was soooo happy!  They have pokemon and digimon on them, some of his favorites!  And the folder has see-through pockets on the front, so he can put stuff in there too.  He loves the Domokun on the folder!:

I'm sorry my pics are so crappy!  I'm waiting to get a re-charger for my good camera, so all I have right now is the backup camera.

Thanks Atsuko!  I love everything!

I also recieved a fabulous package of jewelry from RondaS!  I asked her to make my mom some jewelry for christmas, because I've been admiring her work for a while now, and boy, did she deliver!!!

Here's the necklace and one matching bracelet:

and a close up:

and a magnetic bracelet, and matching earrings!

detail of earrings:

She's going to love this stuff, it is exactly her style!  Thanks so much RondaS!

You know how sometimes you do a nice thing for a friend and it bites you in the butt? I do that a lot. Fortunately this time I can make good of my error Smiley

So back in the day I bought 20 yards, yes two whole bolts, of Casa Satin from JoAnn's for a friend's wedding to make her bridesmaids dress. I have never gotten paid for it and we still talk, we just never bring it up.

These bolts have been sitting in my closet reminding me of how idiotic I can be but yesterday I folded up one bolt and put it in a box for morbidlovexox!!

It will be attending her wedding instead Smiley

I also sent along the label from the top of the bolt so she can read the washing instructions etc.

Yay for personal swapping! I feel 110% better about life today Smiley

holy cow, that sucked! (the first part of the story) What happened that it didn't get used though to begin with?

Also, what did you get in return from the lucky recipient of this bolt?

Well, the guy she was marrying is a Marine and they wanted to have the ceremony before he left. We were organizing everything for her in a rush and then they just went out and did a courts ceremony. No one was invited. It was weird...

In return I will be receiving a lovely hat made made by the talented morbidlovexox! I am so excited!

ahhh... gotcha.  I married a marine too, so I see the why you got that color and we actually wound up going to the court to get married early too, but we still had the wedding just the same.  In fact we didn't even tell anyone except our parents, his brother and a few close friends what we had done because we didn't want to remember that as our wedding day.  To this day we do not remember what day we were actually married Smiley  It's embarassing when the question comes up for financial reasons and we're like "July 20th, 2002- oh, wait...uh.... ummmmm.... Nov 2001?"  Which is good enough  Cheesy lol.  Anyway, I'm glad you got an opportunity to use it in a swap!  I can't wait to see the hat you get!

Ritapizza and I did a personal swap.  She made me the most gorgeous tye-dyed tank top.  The colors are absolutely brilliant!

She also included the cutest little fish arigurumi(?).  He is my first.  He is so adorable!

Thank you, Rita!  I love my tank and my fish!

My beadspread?  Isn't that funny!  It actuall isn't very old.  Only a couple of years.  I tried some patchwork quilts that I was buying at auctions, but my dog would chew them.  This was the only bedspread she hasn't chewed a hole in!
