My husband has a job where he comes across a lot of abandoned furniture, most of which we fix up and keep. Well a few weeks ago he actually came across a wooden handmade thread holder! I was so proud of him for even thinking of it Smiley

Last night I finally decided to paint it Smiley I did the whole thing white with little black designs, flowers, and words. The black/white flower ribbon is from Michaels.

I think I am going to do a black/white/baby blue theme in the room Smiley

Closeups of words:

The whole thing:

I will get some better pictures when the sun's out (it's rainy here this morning)

Very pretty! I'd love this! What better to store cottons in than something that inspires?

I would love one of those!  I have all of my grandma's old thread still on the wooden spools and this would be great to display and use.  I love the use of white, it really makes all of the colors pop.  Nice penmanship as well.

Wow! I absolutely LOVE this!! I especially like the little designs you did around the words!!

I think I'm going to ask my dad to make something like this for my threads... (he's good with wood stuff!)
