Many months ago, I bought this excellent fabric, which I call 'moomin fabric' from Ikea. I wanted to make curtains out of it, but never got round to it. My sewing experience mostly consists of sewing small squares and getting things the wrong way round!

I decided to make tab top curtains.  I didn't know how to incorporate the hem of the tabs into the curtain hem/seam, so I ended up sewing the tabs individually then doing 2 rows of stitching along the top to secure them.

Although they were essentially big rectangles, it taxed my patience with ironing, and sewing straight lines. They still need hemming!

Apologies for the bad phone pics!

Aw, thankyou! My stitching wasn't very straight, and I haven't hemmed them yet. I have a tendency to pick at everything I make. They really brighten up my room :-)
