This is my first completed crochet project, and I am very proud.  I think the hook I used was too big for the yarn, but I still like it. The pattern called for pipe cleaner feet, but I crocheted them instead.  Here's my chicken with his little chick friends.  Let me know what you think.

thats good for a first project.  I like your crochet feet version better then the pipe cleaner feet version.

-I give up on making TOL pendants.  If anyone would like to have my stone chips, wire and ect.  I would gladly trade it all for some knitting/crochet stuff.

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.

That's adorable! I like the look of the big stitches and the colorful yarn. If you want tight stitches when you're making amigurumi, you should pick a hook a couple of sizes smaller than the size recommended on the yarn label. But since it doesn't have to fit anybody, the size of your hook or stitches doesn't matter that much--you have a lot of flexibility when making toys. I think your chicken is great just the way she is!

I only recently learnt to crochet and I tried to start with a small hook, but it was too fiddly, so I practiced a lot with a bigger one and now I've got the hang of it I can use a smaller one with no problem. Your stitches look a lot better than my first amigurumi! And I love the photo you've taken with the little chickies Cheesy

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.
