Prepare for picture overload...also note that I am only showing examples of what is in BeaG box of awesome.

photo of mongo box

top layer: keychains, necklaces, chap stick cozies, button rings.

closeups of cozies and felt keyrings

lower layers: bears, crocheted bags, covered notebook, button wreaths...

wait there's more
hearts, crocheted eggs (oops forgot the egg hats), mirror, and lots of cards!  Smiley

And mind you I'm only showing samples of all the awesome.

Bea, thank you again for your amazing donations!   The kids are really going to have fun with the smaller items you sent and I'm sure your larger pieces will do well in the auction.  DM is lucky to have a friend like you!!!  So am I!

And thank you to all the rest of you for crafting for us!  Smiley

I'm hoping to squeeze in some crafting for the auction as soon as I can.  I already have some jewelry pieces done, but I am hoping to make a scarf or two.  Lana is going to put one of her shibori scarves in the auction.  Smiley

I had so much fun filling that box and anticipating the fun, and equally important the money, it will generate for the DM and their customers!

What can I say...., I got a bigger box this year and still quite enough stuff to fill it.
I went like "oh, and they need a few of these, and some of that, and there's room for this too!".
Just before I was going to close the box I realized they needed some more small items for the kids who don't have much money to spend, so I added more...

Everything but the cards came from my finished items stock.
The cards I made especially for this occasion (40 of them..., because I sometimes don't know how to stop, LOL).
(As you will probably remember from another thread I do have quite a stash of crafting materials, LOL.)
Over here my guitar cards are a big hit with teenagers, so I hope the kids at the auction will love them too.

And of course I made labels for every single item, even though I don't even have a shop anymore. They say what the item is and who made it, plus it has my e-mail address, in case they want to contact me.
I know..., it's a combination of perfectionism and enthusiasm.
Please don't consider it as setting a standard, LOL!
Who has time for that? Only that crazy lady in Belgium...

Here's to amazing sales for the Difference Makers!

Thank you Bea!  Everything is loved!  Smiley

I love the way you tagged everything.  It looks really professional and makes it perfect for gift giving!

In a couple of weeks I'll be working on finishing up the flyers, placards, etc.  I'm waiting a bit on the flyers because some companies don't tell you ahead of time that they are donating so things show up and then they aren't included.

If any of you are still planning on sending me goodies please drop me a line.  Smiley

Thank you CLM!  Smiley  This auction is a way for us to both build community as well as to raise funds for DM projects.  Bryan and I have been working on developing a project to feed hungry children in middle school.  There are good programs in place for elementary aged kids, but not the same type of support for middle schoolers, especially on the weekends.  It is still in the planning stages, but we are meeting with a grocery store next week to see about a possible partnership. Lana also applied for a small grant, but her focus is on providing fresh vegetables/vitamins to 0-5 year olds in need.
