A fork by any other name...

"But over the years, we've all seen our share of absolutely delightfully amusing cozies that serve no other purpose other than to decoratively cover some inanimate object." This really got me thinking, what could I create a cozy for that would be purely decorative? I happened to be cleaning when a moment of inspiration hit, and thus the rose fork cozy was born.

This is the fork I started with:


Here is the cozy I ended up with:


I wish I had more process pictures, but basically I crocheted a stem added pink to the top to create the innermost petals. Then I just crocheted around the outside to create more petals.

It's not totally useless my mom carries her lunch to work and when she's running late she often just shoves a fork down in her purse, it looks like WWIII is taking place in there right now so I'm sure your cozy would make it easier to find and keep it clean.

I definitely like the idea of a silverware flowerpot. I think it would be an interesting centerpiece! Definitely a conversation starter! LOL.

oh and malisha, I love Shakespeare too! I took a class in college and it was incredibly interesting. I will have to say, I prefer his tradegies, they are just so thought provoking.
