***PATTERN***
I used Red Heart super saver yarn for the sides and sole, and Bernat Baby Boucle for the cuff and pom poms. You might also need a measuring tape, although I only measure the sole of my sons foot, to make sure this fit. This pattern is for a size 5.

Sides ( make 4)

With G 4.25mm hook

Chain 22.
Row1: Hdc in 3rd stitch, continue until last stitch, make 5 hdc in last stitch. Mark middle crochet of 5 cluster with a stitch saver. Continue along bottom of first row until u reach first stitch. Chain 2 and turn.
Row2: Hdc until marked stitch and make 3 hdc in this stitch. Mark middle stitch of 3 crochet cluster. Continue hdc's until end.
Row3:Repeat row 2, no need to mark middle stitch this time. Chain 2 and turn.
Row4: Hdc in next 13 stitches. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 5-9:Repeat row 4. End.

Sole

Chain 18. Hdc in 3rd chain from hook. Continue across, chain 2 and turn. Repeat until 6 rows made. Once done, you'll have a rectangle. Now turn towards the short end of the rectangle and do: sc, 2 hdc, 3 dc in one stitch, 2 hdc, and sc. (Ps only the dc should be together in one stitch)End and do this to the other side as well, which will leave you with a rounded rectangle. (and yes, i realize I couldve done an oval.. but it was late, and my brain couldnt handle the corners.)

To join just hold 2 sides together, right sides out, and SC along the back and front, leaving the bottom undone.  Join the sole using a slip stitch.

Cuff

I just did one row around the cuff in sc and then 3 rows of dc.

*Tassels or Pom Poms may be added if desired*

There.. all done. My first pattern! Please let me know if anyone needs clarifications! Awesome!

These shoes are so cute and look very warm. I am going to see if I could figure out a way to make them in an adult size.

What a beautiful baby you have!

Knitting goal for 2011: knit 500,000 stitches.  24,078/500,000 knit.  I think I'm going to need more yarn...

Normally I'm anti-ugg (too many girls in mini skirts with uggs when it's 90 degrees out-- big turn off).

BUT... I have to tell you-- these are ADORABLE -- and they look so great on your baby boy.  He's so precious!  What a great picture!

Awesome work!
