Well I've ventured into housewares again, I LOVE this stuff.

the inside (SO cool)

my boyfriend approves whole heartedly of this pun:

and my first upside-down glass painting venture, I'll have to do this more often, it was really fun. the picture has a weird line on it from the divider in the middle of the dish, I promise the artwork is clean Smiley

thanks for looking! let me know what you think

Ha ha the toilet seat is classic!  Did you have to rough it up so that the paint would stick to the plastic?

Great fun!  I love it all, but the toilet seat is my favorite.  My own toilet seat is metallic leopard with a chalkboard in the center.

thank you all so much for the kind words, I appreciate it lots and lots!

thanks! I didn't but I wish I would have. I could have easily hit it with some steel wool but I  got ahead of myself. That certainly isn't the last toilet seat I'm going to paint so I'll know better next time.

um, GREAT. I'm all for pirate themed bathrooms, you're my target market Smiley

Snarky messages back and forth between my guests and myself, usually.  Some stuff that looks like what you'd have found on school folders back in the day and sometimes drawings that eventually spark more snarky messages back and forth.

Regarding the plastic, the traditional painted wood toilets are very easy to work because they don't have the qualities of plastic.  It's my preference for that reason and because plastic kind of weirds me out in a toilet seat, but I know that's just my own issue.   Wink

hahaha, I never thought about it, I'm usually just glad that a toilet seat is there and that it's DOWN so I don't fall in.

I've definitely been distracted by some chalkboard bathroom walls in my day. The best part is when I finish a super-cool candy skull (the purse I painted http://www.flickr.com/photos/laurenb_stl/2805565890/ was actually first a design I put on the wall of the water closet in Mamacita's restaurant) and then come back to the group in a chorus "oh, did everything come out okay? somebody went number 2!"
