More Hot Dishes!  What can I say, I get on a kick - it's my way.  I was encouraged to try to sell them, so I thought it would be fun to come up with names for each of the fellas.  As I pondered what to name them, I noticed that one had the initial of The ManFlesh on his helmet so I thought I could name him after my fella.  So, then I was looking at the other 3 and trying to come up with names when I realized that my guy runs with 3 other guys and thought, "why not name them after The Dudes?"  Well, since none of The Dudes really look like these guys, I decided to change all the names to names that rhyme with The Dudes names!  For some reason this tickles me to no end.

Now that you've (maybe) read all that, let me introduce to you (in no particular order)...

Derrick:

Trent:

Craig:

Ron:

They're backed with ironing board cover fabric that is heat-resistant and have a layer of 90% cotton batting also.

The back:

Thanks for taking a gander!

What fun pot holders! I never thought of using an ironing board cover for the backing. I actually have one that I need to use up. Thanks for the idea. Cheesy

Me, too!  All the Alexander Henry male pin-up prints are a hoot!

Thanks!  Please post what you make!  If anyone else is curious, I bought the ironing board cover material at the fabric store on the bolt so you don't have to use a pre-made cover.

Personally, I like Trent and Ron the best, despite Trent's ridiculous muscles (I mean seriously, look at those things, that is not natural!). Derrick's not half bad, Derrick is my boss's name and that makes him kind of creepy to me....

I think Trent and Craig are the most YMCA and they are named after the most metrosexual of The Dudes!

Yeah, I had quite a bit of fun picking which one to give which name! Luckily, I don't think I really know anyone with any of these names - at least not well enough for them to mistake one of these guys for themselves.

Ha!  Derrick and Ron on my faves, too - I like brunettes and had a hard time decided which one would be the one named after my own fella.  I made myself a hand-shaped mitt out of the cowboy version of this fabric, but I don't really cook so it doesn't get used much.  When I do my holiday baking, though...

hahah this is so funny! I've seen this fabric at a fabric store and laughed out loud!! they made a quilt out of it... hahaha

Thanks! I think a quilt made of this fabric would be a great "Congratulations on Dumping that Jerk!" gift.  Since I started making boxer shorts and pot holders, I wonder about the fabric store smirking, giggling and sometimes nearly cackling. I hope I'm not getting a reputation.   Smiley

My perversions precede me, eh?   Undecided  Haha!  My little sales blurb references what you've said:

Simmer down, they just look hot. Built for comfort, these pot-holders are made with a layer heat-resistant fabric (the silver side) & pre-washed 100% cotton print (the tasty side) with a layer of 90% cotton/10% polyester batting sandwiched between. Lucky batting.

Care and Feeding: Protect his delicate skin by putting the silver side against hot pots and pans and the sexy side next to your hand. Save the x-rays for the doctor & keep him out of the microwave (that silver is aluminum)! Like you, hell need a cold shower so machine wash in cold water, air dry.

Craig's cheesy mustache is the bomb! These are great.

Yeah, it's funny as he looks the most boy-ish, too!  Thanks!

A couple of days after first seeing these, I spotted this fabric at Joann's and started giggling maniacally. Note to self: If I want to get hired there, I should probably not laugh at random fabrics.

I like the person helping me at the fabric store to have some personality.  So many times you're all excited about your project and even if they ask, you can tell they don't care.  The JoAnn's around here NEVER have anything this fun.  Sigh.

Just stick a blue tooth phone receiver or ipod earpiece in your ear and tell them your (imaginary) friend/dj said something funny. Everybody's wearing them. Greatest things for schizophrenics since meds and straight jackets.  Grin

No kidding.

I work at JoAnn's and let me tell you...it's so hard to not laugh at people sometimes. I get people doing the strangest things. People making those strange fur/sex costumes... oy. People making underwear. I get the under wear fine it just makes me laugh at some people's choice of fabric. One lady seriously chose taffeta for regular underwear. I thought it was for a special occasion and she just blinked at me like I was nuts. Me, the one not wearing taffeta underwear, was nuts.

I bet you hear some doozies!  I'm surprised people tell you about their sex costumes... I think I'd have a cover story for that.   Cheesy  Taffeta underwear sounds really hot.  In the sweaty way, not the sexy way.

Thanks!  I think that's a great idea.  Maybe also a "recently single again" gift.
