I am a tragic tactile person who finds any sort of interesting texture heaven to touch (it makes for interesting trips to the art gallery with my husband... well, he really doesn't like to come with me anymore!).

How would other people feel about a swap where all items must be made with natural materials? Think cottons, silks, wool (all the different kinds...), wood, raffia, cork, natural dyes... etc, etc... there must be so much stuff that can be done!  I've also noticed new yarns like bamboo and corn fibre popping up in my local craft store recently and I love how they feel too.
Materials wouldn't necessarily have to be organic or anything like that, but I just love natural materials and perhaps there are others out there in craftster-world who share a similar bent on tactile stuff?  I'm only a swap newbie (only one swap under my belt), so I don't think I'm allowed to organise a swap, but is there anyone out there who thinks they might like to make this happen?  Anyone else even interested?

A month or so ago someone else asked about doing a natural material swap but there wasn't that much voiced interest. Sad I really would love to do something along this theme though!

If no one really expresses enough interest, perhaps we could do a personal swap or something?

But if there is interest, I could probably organize (especially since it'd be likely to be a small swap and I'm already organizing several in the future... lol).

I like the idea, as long as it's a small-ish swap
and the timing is right....

Perhaps a pre-paid USPS package? Whatever the smallest one is would be perfect for me. Smiley

I think keeping it small sounds like a great idea - it would force us to be a little more creative with what we do.  Any more people interested??

I was thinking of setting a max weight and that would help a lot with international shipping. Cheesy

I'm in Australia too jane doe!

And setting a maximum weight sounds like a fantastic idea too dragonmama, that way international shipping costs will be much lower.

So do you think we've got enough interest for a swap to happen?
