My swap partner MUST have her parcel by now, so I'm posting what I made her.  a patchwork owl - I never make cutesy things like baboushkas and owls and fawns, so it was nice for a change.

Also made an amigurumi elephant keyring, and a little fused plastic pouch for him to live in, lined with cupcake fabric

Cindy - the items you made are just too cute!!  I love the owl!

I received from Taniquel.  Don't have a picture of the "before" stash but it was a bunch of paper, a bag full of letters, blank cards, stickers and other embellishments.  I love everything she made for me!!!  I never would have come up with these ideas!!!

Group shot:

She made me a terrific birthday book (I am so jealous of her calligraphy!) with room to write birthdays in each month and then pages to hold cards.

Here are some of the cards she made.
A flower card made using ric rac and a bunch of "O"s - I never would have thought of this myself.  It might be my favorite!!

A camel card (I love it!)

A rhino card (but this might be my favorite, too)

A small container with 3-D flowers on the front that holds gift cards.

Close-up of the card she made using the letter Z (or N?)

A recipe book (and recipes included!) that she sewed together with a gorgeous stitch

Coasters made from old CDs (what a good idea!) and decoupaged and varnished

She organized the bag of letters I sent and sent me back the container with all the letters in their spots.  This is perhaps the best thing ever!

She also included a small tape measure so I can make a fabric-covered one like the one Farmgirljane made for emerri that I admired so much!

Thanks, Jen!  I had a great time swapping with you and I love everything you made!!!!

I really like both those books - it looks like a lot of time and creativity went into those.
So practical, so gorgeous!
Great work Taniquel

So here's what I got:

In the back is an evening stole with beaded trim you can't see, a cute summer handbag, in the middle is a book cover (covering almost french)
From left to right is a lunchbag, a makeup bag, evening bag, and another makeup bag, this time with beads

Action shot of the other bits, reversible apron (the other side is yellow with a flower pocket), oven mitt and pot holder (which I totally needed, I've been using a teatowel, or when i can't find one, a calico shopping bag).

I love everything, thanks Steph

I'm glad you liked everything, Jen!  I was so nervous!!!  I almost made you another pot holder / oven mitt set but then I thought, "How many does one person need?"  Apparently you could always use one more!

I can't wait to see everyone else's stashes!
