OK, I couldn't stand it and started working on something today. Yes, I'm a spaz  Roll Eyes
I'm only doing part of it so I finish with my partner's preferences in mind.
But my DD really got into the buttons and made herself a button bracelet, button flowers on pipe cleaners, and a button ring.  Cheesy Then she picked out one of her purses and wants me to sew buttons on it-looks like we'll be busy tomorrow.
And yes, we were fighting over a few buttons  Wink

OK, I couldn't stand it and started working on something today. Yes, I'm a spaz  Roll Eyes

You're not the only one. I've been up to my ears in buttony inspiration. Yesterday I baked a load of polymer clay buttons. I figure at least a couple should suit my partner - one of them has rhinestones and you can't go wrong with rhinestones, can you? Roll Eyes Cheesy And I made something else buttony that... well, I want to keep it, which is usually a good sign. I don't usually like to pre-craft, I like to make things for my partner if you know what I mean, so I'll make at least two "proper" items for my partner, and the other... thing can fall into the envelope by accident if I think it'll suit their tastes. Cheesy Same with the poly clay buttons, if they seem like they'd be right for my partner they can go in, if not they won't.

Incidentally, that button encrusted teacup is glorious, if possibly difficult to drink from.

ha ha, i think that one was more art and less cup if you kwim.
it did give me some inspiration though, i have a little wooden toy guitar that used to be my son's that just doesn't stay in tune at all and is in the give away pile but i saw a gorgeous guitar embellished with mosiac on here the other day and i figure i could do the same with buttons on this one. i do have a seriously huge stash of buttons after all, even some i bought for him when he was still in my belly that have never gotten used!
