I tried the cat from this book, and mine turned out a bit strange too. So maybe it's just the pattern. Like the ears seemed huge.

My cat has big ears too! I've showed it to my fellow SnBers and they have convinced me that it is not as awful looking as I think it is so perhaps I will post a picture here when I get home.

Yes, we all should embrace our big-eared kitties, they deserve our love. I can't wait to see the others!! Post 'em when you can so mine doesn't feel so sad about his ears.

I took out this book from the library a little while ago and made a panda and a clownfish. The panda isn't quite done (have to sew on the eyes and bend the paws), and so far he looks more like a pig than anything else. The clownfish, however, came out really well for me. I named him Moses, because my brother said the stripe pattern looks like the cloth Moses's mother was making in The Ten Commandments. And I must share him, because, well, I feel like it.

Wah, but my favs at the moment is a chicken viking hat and a pie that both look very realistic. I am making some animals at the moment and will post them when I get a decent pic of them.

knitted pie? is it in the book? that would totally push me over the edge and into buying it.

Alas, I was so disgusted with kitty and his deformities that I threw him away when I wasn't looking. I only made it from cheapy-cheapy acyrlic but I still felt quite guilty!! If I had known that it was the pattern that made him like that, and not bad knitting on my part, I would have kept him. I just felt like it was taunting me LOL. 

Instead, here is my wombat. He looks like a big brown pig almost, but I quite like him now. He's grown on me.  . The rabbit is from a pattern on the boards somewhere.

i'm going to make every single strand of leftover yarn into fish if it's the last thing i do!!!
