Are there any polar bears in this book? Or any other animals that could be changed to polar bears? I'm looking for a pattern, would prefer a bear standing up rather than sitting or on all fours. This book looks like it's full of cute critters...

There is a polar bear, but he is on all fours. The book could be a good starting point though and you could adapt the pattern. You'd probably only have to change how you attach the legs.

Hmm, that's a good point. I think I'll get hold of the book - even if I can't modify the polar bear, the other animals are just so cute!

At first I thought of the platypus, but now for the life of me I can't even think of what a mole looks like...   All that aside, I'm sure there are a few animals that you could piece together.

Edit: OK.  I've looked up a pic of a mole and yes, the platypus pattern would def be a good start.  The roundish flat body is perfect.  All you'd have to do is modify the limbs and face...somehow.

Anywho..instead of making another post, I'll just do it here.  I made a pink and white kitty for my best friend's baby girl.  I made all the legs the same length (that of the front legs), and although it looks a bit bow-legged, she loved it.

i just finished the baby emperor penguin as a gift for my boyfriend. We saw march of the penguins when it first came out and he's been imitating baby penguin chirps ever since.

EEkk, I love all the penguins here, but that one takes the ice! It is so cute. It even has personality wiith it's little wings up. Great job!
