I finally found the book!  After reading this thread, I was dying to make some cute little knit animals of my own, so here's my first attempt.  I decided to try out the pattern for the mallard:

More pictures and a brief review of my first impressions of the book can be found at my blog.  (Come on, you know you want to check it out!)

This is not the greatest photo but this is my take on the elephant.  I didn't realize how big he was going to be when I first started.

Here's the parrot I made for my Dad...he's a bit of a pirate so he needed a companion.

Hi all - I'm still new to this online-sharing-of-knitted-items thing, but it's great to see everyone's finished toys - (I don't know anyone personally who knits toys). I thought I would show off some of my toys from this book.  I really got into knitting toys this last year, and I've made others from this book (the elephant and the gorilla) and from Debbie Bliss's Teddy Bears (which has AWESOME patterns).  Debbie Bliss also has a Knitted Toys book which has tons of cute patterns.  Here's the ensemble I made for my friend's new baby - the bear is from the Debbie Bliss book.  You can see my other toys at my site http:www.thisisknit.com (click on the thmnails at right).

Thanks!  I still have to finish him.  He needs a face and some pants.  And maybe a cool hairstyle...
