Cute hat (aka. Retro Cloche Stash Hat)... *With link to pattern used**
«

I've been wanting to make a hat for quite a while, but didn't find THE pattern...
You know, that pattern that really calls you and almost screams "MAKE ME!".
But I saw this one,
http://www.knitonthenet.com/issue1/patterns/clochestashhat/
and just loved it... and having an alarmingly growing stash I decided to finally give it a try...
It turned out extremely cute... had a bit of a problem cos I ran a bit out of yarn at the end... It called for 4 inches of St st in rounds at the end, but I did like 7 rows but I kinda had to unravel(like always) the last row, cos I didn't have enough yarn to bind off...
But judge for yourself...
The pics are bad! The first one is barely decent...
Please comment! Feedback is always good!

This is so cute! I was wondering what the front of this hat looked like, I just saw the pattern the other day. Great job, I love it!

I was wondering the same, but I decided I should try it. I just love the way it turned out, I went out today right after I finished it, and I HAD to wear it... so the ribbon was a scrap I found lying around...

That's the idea, my mom is bugging me to make one for my aunt, cos if she sees mine she'll want it. And brown is definetively more usable. So, i'll probably be making one in blue or gray pretty soon...

That's really cute! Love the ribbon!
And i was here thinking of changing it...
I used that one, cos it was all I had in my box of crafty goodies
and my mom pointed out that it would look better if the bow on the back was bigger or it had a longer tail(?)...

uhhhh, yarn..... I have no idea...
I have this bunch of yarn that I got from my Grandma's house... that I dunno what brand they are... All I know is that it's acrylic...
I just did a swatch and made sure the gauge checked... and since it did, I just jumped in...
That's why I ran out of yarn in the end....
