Lil' Moa Chick. I learned to sew from my friend Kristen this year. Setting out with my new found skills I wanted to try making a puppet. This is my first attempt at puppet design and I think it turned out pretty well. Moa Chick is made out of faux fur, linen, felt, metal studs, velcro, large teddy bear eyes, and sculpey. The metal collars are all removable. If you shake him up and down a bit the little wings will make a cute flapping motion.

He is adorable. I've been sewing for over twenty years (I learned in middle school) and I haven't attempted to sew with fur yet. I'm impressed. Great job!
