introducing my boyfriend's new flash drive: chewie!
based on the amazing chewie from geekcentralstation. etsy.com

i made the bottom open-ended, so that chewie can be pushed back to reveal the flash drive. hope you like it!

That's so awesome that you put a flash drive in him.  I love things that have double uses, in this case being cute AND being useful.  Great job on him, I know eyelash yarn is really crappy to work with!

I admire anyone who uses fancy/eyelash fur.  Ive made a total of one successful amigurumi with it, and it took me quite awhile to do.

i found that with the eyelash yarn i used, you don't really need a neat pattern to work off of cuz it masks all the individual stitches. so essentially, my wookie is nothing but a small blob for the head and a slightly bigger blog for the body haha. as for the arms, i used the pattern on geekcentralstation's blog, minus the two last rows (to match the size of the aforementioned blobs).

i wanted to make it small enough to stick into the smaller backpack pocket, so i started off with:
HEAD
sc 6 in a circle
inc every st
1sc, inc in next st* around
sc in each st around for a few rows until desired length
1sc, dec next* around
dec around
CONTINUING WITH BODY
inc every st
(i can't remember if i 1sc, inc in next st* around here, or if i just stopped here..)
sc around for a few rows until desired length

i found <http://www.planetjune.com/blog/fuzzy-yarn-tips/> useful for tips on working with eyelash yarn.

GOOD LUCK! Smiley

I love it! Esp. the little sash that works perfectly to make it a wookie. Thanks for the inspiration!
