i love these old patterns, great job. I'm also sewing from patterns that my mum used for me, and knitting from my great grandmas patterns.

I am absolutely in love with that coat!!!! I really think u should save it as an heirloom, ever after DD outgrows it.
Of course, i'm partial to sentimentally saving things- but I do think its really cool to make ur child a garment from a pattern ur grandma used for your clothes as a child.  Grin
I can seriously picture that coat in Saks fifth avenue on sale for $200 or something. Was it very difficult to sew?

Not especially difficult, but more time consuming than most things I make because of the hand sewing.
